This book provides a new perspective on logic, as the logic of language is claimed to depend upon the (inconsistent) lexical meanings of the logical operators. A detailed analysis of the functional adequacy of natural predicate and standard modern logic for natural linguistic interaction solves the problem of inconsistent meaning. A general theory of discourse-bound interpretation is then developed.
