This book proposes a new approach to the contribution of words and other linguistic units in meaning construction, by considering the interaction between non-linguistic concepts and language-encoded meanings. It elaborates an explanation of how words are conceived when we produce and hear language in situated contexts of use. The two provided theoretical constructs are the lexical concept and the cognitive model.
