Exploring the multilingual speech of Miskitu children on Corn Island (Nicaragua), this study addresses relations between language ideologies and language socialization and contests conventional dichotomies of language shift and revival by considering the hybrid linguistic practices that allow children to bridge social and cultural worlds.
