Drawing on Bakhtin’s heteroglossia and hybridity notions, this study explores the meanings of (hybrid) codeswitching practices that a group of Moroccan immigrant girls use in pretend-play sequences with dolls to create female identities, matching Spanish 'ideals', thus exploring imagined transgressional potential identities and moral worlds.
