This study discusses the (pragmatic) uses of discourse connectives by corporate speakers and writers in two financial disclosure genres -i.e. earnings presentations vs. Earnings releases-, mediated by ICT, as a means to affect the interpretation of the message, and to succeed in attaining their professional goals.
