Annotation

This study addresses the referential value of third person pronouns employed by French-speaking children before the age of 3 in a corpus of natural dialogues, occurring in various communicative contexts. It is argued that pronouns' anaphoric value is first acquired via dialogue before it is expanded into monological usage.
