Annotation

This conversation analytic study discusses the usage of gestures to initiate repair in English as a second language conversational tutoring sessions. The gestures are most often conceived by the recipients as indicating problems in comprehending the prior talk. One of the gestures at least can also be deployed to prompt self-correction.
