Annotation

This article explores question–response sequences in ╪Ākhoe Hai||om, a Khoe language spoken in Northern Namibia. Speakers are shown to strongly rely on content questions and to ask fewer questions to a specific individual than could be assumed via earlier research on Indo European languages.
