Annotation

This study discusses the usage of an ethnolinguistic vitality framework in a sociolinguistic survey recording attitudes to multilingualism and reporting the experiences of the Isan minority speech community in Northeast Thailand. Backing of multilingualism was found in formal education and multilingual signage, but with clear intergenerational shift from Lao (Isan) towards Central Thai.
