Annotation

The study examines how teacher identity and micro-level interaction affect the construction of power relations in a critical (English) pedagogy classroom in an American university. It is argued that applied critical theories are often too inelaborate, presuming that power can be downright conveyed from the ‘powerful’ to the ‘powerless’.
