This paper draws on Critical Discourse and Multimodal Analysis, and Social Semiotics, to explore the linguistic, discursive, generic and multimodal strategies, deployed in Israëli secondary school history textbooks, published between 1998 and 2009, to legitimate the killing of Palestinians.
