Arguing that bilingualism has to be considered as dynamic bilingualisms-in-practice, this study states that the meso level of society, and in particular educational institutions (in this example a bilingual Welsh school), make up a crucial site for recontextualizing bilingualism discourses and thereby hold a significant mediating role between the micro and macro societal levels.
