This study examines the interrelationships between three specific Japanese national identification facets (nationalism, patriotism and internationalism), and attitudes towards English's intercultural appeal and English as a foreign language acquisition in a sample of Japanese undergraduate university students, using a socio-political and socio-educational approach.
