Annotation

This cross-cultural, ethnolinguistic study of silence-as-communication in Nigeria, explores differences and similarities in the way silence is observed and interpreted according to Nigeria's three 'national' languages-and-cultures, namely Yoruba, Hausa and Igbo, thereby emphasizing the impact of the group on the individual.
