Annotation

This ethnographic research discusses the motivations and strategies of a group of non-Korean families in Northeast China, underlying their children's participation in a Chinese-Korean bilingual school. The positive attitudes towards Korean language studies are associated with the functional importance of Korean as a way of getting a larger benefit from China's economic marketization.
