Annotation

This study assesses two accounts for the computers are social actors (CASA) paradigm, i.e. anthropomorphism and mindlessness. Employing flattery effects as an example of social responses, two experiments explored how the interface's anthropomorphism, individuals’ rationality, and cognitive busyness affect the extent to of social attributes to computers.
