Annotation

This study demonstrates that (in casu Singaporean) adolescent’s exposure to advertising is both directly and indirectly linked to their materialistic values. The indirect link is mediated by the adolescent’s perception of advertising impact on friends and by the adolescents’ interpersonal communication with parents and with friends.
