Annotation
This study argues that language-related problems, very frequently indicated by many ordinary lay language users, are problems concerning understanding and concerning expression of emotions. A sample of 1,076 subjects were interviewed, involving native speakers of English (American and Canadian), German, Dutch, Norwegian, Polish, Lithuanian, Italian, Spanish (Chilean), Cantonese, Mandarin and Japanese.
