Annotation

This study argues that second language classroom materials, such as in this case intermediate Spanish language textbooks, have to be complemented by data from naturally occurring interactions, to expose students both to pragmalinguistic language characteristcs and sociopragmatic target culture norms, in order to further the development of their pragmatic competence.
