Annotation

This longitudinal study explores Spanish L2 pragmatic development in U.S. students during their semestrial study abroad service encounters in Toledo (Spain). The study concentrates on openings and requests and investigates how students’ pragmatic choices shift over time, considering the role of language socialization and explicit pragmatic instruction in that development.
