Annotation

This study examines the construction of authorial voice through the frequency of use, distribution, and discourse function of first-person pronouns across languages (English and Spanish) in Business Management research articles written in English as L1 and English as L2, and in Spanish by Spanish academics. The observed differences suggest that disciplinary, linguistic and cultural variables interplay and define the (frequency of) textual points at which authors make themselves visible.
