This study attempts to delineate a systematic approach to the identification of evaluative meaning in the discourse of online property advertising, which can be used for the analysis of evaluation in other kinds of promotional discourse. Drawing on Pryce and Oates's (2008) study of property advertising and general advertising theories, the appraisal framework is reviewed.
