This study discusses how clients in Norwegian vocational rehabilitation encounters are responsibilized to take an active part in planning steps that will capacitate them for convenient work. It explores two cases where a long-term education is suggested in the answer-slot, which constitutes a very ambiguous interactional enterprise. Clients are shown to proceed either complying or less complying, when addressing the eliciting question.
