This study shows how conversion narratives among Christians in Malaysia, in the form of testimony, constitute effective ways of reinforcing one's new religious identity. The study especially explores the moves and lexical choices employed in the narratives, that distinguist two different speaker identities: one before and one after taking Christ as Lord and savior.
