Annotation

This paper discusses how Guinea-Conakry's education in national languages -rejecting colonial languages and colonial rule-, did not survive past first president Sékou Touré's administration, but died with him in 1984. Since then, the entire schooling system was completely depending on French, a language that very few Guineans use at home. The paper then discusses the potential for re-emancipation of Guinean languages in official policy and national practice.
