Drawing on findings regarding ethnolinguistic vitality perceptions of Turkish immigrants in the Netherlands, France, Germany and Australia, this study offers a critical evaluation of Ethnolinguistic Vitality Theory, supposed to constitute a greater and more comprehensive framework for research on language maintenance and shift.
