Annotation

This study, performed in 2009, discusses the perceptions of the postcolonial student generation raised in Hong Kong after the sovereignty change, with regard to cultural identity and their language attitudes towards Cantonese (the local language), English (the coloniser's language), and Putonghua (the national Chinese language). The at large positive attitudes towards all three languages indicate backing for an ongoing process that favors multilingualism and multiple identities.
