This study explores the location and function of lawyers' interventions in police interrogations of crime suspects, concentrating on sequence organization to fix a typology of these interventions. It furthermore considers how regular characteristics of these interventions affirm the lawyers' role in the setting, including characteristics that help succesfully refuting a line of questioning.
