Annotation

This study discusses the spanish use of a white southern Californian woman as the practice of la voz gringa, and demonstrates how it simultaneously impeaches various social identities, disturbs the dominant sociolinguistic ordering of white Mainstream English with regard to Latina/o language, and defies racial/ethnic power dynamics between whites and Latina/os.
