Annotation

This study explores (linguistic and discursive) humorous language play, initiated by a bilingual EFL teacher in a Thai EFL university classroom. Benefits for student learning are recorded in affective, sociocultural and linguistic dimensions. The capacity of humor to ‘unsettle’ demands careful teacher handling.
