Annotation

This study discusses language insertion as a bilingual communicative practice. It examines in particular how in a previously diglossic Northern German region, where the formerly spoken Low German is being substituted by the dominant standard German variety, Low German elements are inserted into the Standard German texts of regional publications for specific communicative purposes.
