This survey study of complex issues concerning the hegemony postulation of various Zimbabwean minority language groups, focusing on the intricate controversies on language as medium of instruction, argues that the mutual relationships between state dynamics, ethnic structure, and history shift considerably and affect the success of minority language(-in-education) policies.
