Annotation

This diachronic study discusses how that the politicisation of Arabic in the Sudan mainly stems from former British colonial language planning initiatives that actually blended Arabic, Islam and a colored, spatialised identity, composing in the process ‘northern Sudan’ vis-à-vis its southern counterpart.
