This study explores the views and practices of experienced English second/foreign language teachers in the USA, UK and France, concerning the use of a model of intercultural communicative competence (ICC) in English language programmes. Most teachers convey beliefs that endorse the pertinence of interculturality to their work, but they also indicate a lack of support for ICC in textbooks, institutional syllabi, and testing.
