Contributing to the theoretical debate on what makes classroom second/foreign language pronunciation instruction efficient, this study argues that socially constructed metalanguage (SCM) and critical listening (CL) positively affect respectively speech production and speech perception (in this example in adult high-intermediate level second/foreign language students).
