Annotation

This paper comments on how multilingual language users observe their L2 and L3 acquisition experiences at the appraisal level, outlining this concept from the various perspectives of different extant taxonomies, and discussing the Geneva Appraisal Questionnaire (GAQ), a tool for estimating appraisal systems. The paper also collates experiences and factors associated with the development of L2 vs. L3 in two groups of multilinguals.
