This study discusses the pragmatic development of a consecutive bilingual child, acquiring English as a third language. It focuses especially on the production of Catalan (L1), Spanish (L2) and English (L3) requests via a one-year longitudinal analysis including the ages 2.6 to 3.6. Findings both correspond but also diverge from previous studies on interlanguage and L1 pragmatics, thus inducing the specific features of the young child's third language pragmatics.
