Considering linguistic landscape (LL) as a discursively built space and thus signs as ‘frozen actions’, and using a Nexus analytical perspective, this study explores the interrelated synchronic, historical and functional aspects of LLs in the North Calotte Arctic region, constituting a complex nexus of controversial and changing multilingualism, especially concerning the endangered indigenous Sámi languages and the Kven and Meänkieli minority languages.
