Annotation
This survey involving international students at a big urban university in the US, demonstrates that their friendship numbers and satisfaction are significantly linked to communicative adaptive power, (host) language competence, and solitude. No significant correlation appears between friendship success and readiness to communicate or duration of stay abroad.
