Annotation

Drawing upon inter alia discourse analysis and social semiotic theory, this paper examines the multifarious ways in which business news is represented on the internet by permanent 24-hour business news networks like Bloomberg, CNBC, FOXBusiness, and Reuters. Special attention is paid to the semiotic changes or transformations (and subsequent re-contextualizations) undergone by multimodal representations across modes, media, and news networks.
