Annotation

This study demonstrates that both home factors -involving caretaker and television language, and mother tongue vocabulary-, and school factors -cfr. kindergarten curriculum emphasis-, appear to be significant predictors of English vocabulary knowledge among 284 bilingual kindergartners (168 Chinese, 65 Malay, 51 Indian) in the multilingual Singaporean context.
