This paper offers a framework of bilingual grammar that provides a theoretical comprehension of the general sociolinguistic principles (or socio-cognitive constraints), of code-switching, featuring multi-linguistic skills insofar as they are capable of demonstrating how “local” code-switching functions originate as specific concretization of these “global” principles, or (outcomes of) their interactions.
