Since the German Reunification in 1990 until today, there have been various legislative changes to the “right to return“ of (Spat)Aussiedlers (“late emigrants“). The major category of “belonging to the people“ however, was preserved. As such, legislative amendments may be presented as having emerged within the framework of an ethnocultural comprehension of nation.
