Regarding argumentation as a kind of complex verbal activity the purpose of which is to develop an argument, the author outlines a method of analysing the logic of both argumentation and argument. It is claimed that the proposed method is more apt to describe the logic of normal reasoning than classical methods of deductive and inductive reasoning.
