Annotation

This study on the use of English as an academic lingua franca at a Swedish university, shows intricate patterns of academic English use, linked to the specific studied discipline, the instructional level and receptive versus productive English use. Also, whereas the use of English constitutes a pragmatic reality in the sciences, in the humanities and social sciences, this use is additional or auxiliary, in parallel with Swedish.
