This study explores how discursive construction and culture mediate the future shape of non pre-established interactional limits and pressures within the Parliamentary discourse (PD) of the ‘Shadow Assembly’, trusted to determine the procedures of the new Northern Ireland Assembly (1998), in the context of an intense history of socio-political conflict.
