Annotation

This paper explores language ideologies of differentiation that result from the migration of Morocco's old-urban Fez elite to the new Casablanca metropolis, bringing into sharp contrast two typical urban Arabic varieties along with their intricate indexical system relating linguistic forms to identities, lifestyles, and moralities.
