This paper examines the unlikelihood feelings that multilingual subjects sometimes meet with and their trouble of finding genuine or just subject positions in a global world with fluent frontiers and variable identity categories. It explores what modernist and poststructuralist problem approaches can produce in applied linguistic theory.
