Drawing on Greek adolescents' and Japanese-Australian workers' interactions, this paper demonstrates how a poststructuralist comprehension of participants' performativity in employing and mixing language repertoire elements, illuminates the relationship between the ongoing subjectivity production and the application of solid or stereotypical identity categories.
