Although the aim of the newly launched Teach and Learn in Korea (TaLK) programma is to offer similar opportunities to rural elementary school pupils, recruiting native English and overseas ethnic Korean native-like English speakers as temporary English teachers, it may also help to uphold social differences and inequality in various ways.
